The Puyallup GREAT Camp is modeled after an evidence-based program known as Gang Resistance Education And Training, which uses school-based law enforcement officers to instruct classroom curricula focused on gang and violence prevention in schools. The Puyallup Tribe has expanded this program to include youth-centered leadership and skill building activities, which take place on tribal lands as part of the GREAT Program’s series of weekend, spring break and summer camps. This video focuses on a spring break camp session that included regional intertribal youth participation.
